Villaggio Camping Grotta dell'Acqua

Terrible and awkward experience. We came here for the natural surroundings, the wild and beautiful Gargano natural Park, but what we found at this camping site was the complete opposite. The price per day was 37 Euros (!) - the price we had only just paid for a lovely B&B, but here the showers were old-fashioned with no room to change clothes, and the toilets likewise. But worst of all: the site is next neighbor to an outdoor disco, who played LOUD dance and techno until 2 a.m. We didn't sleep until 4 in the morning because of the loud guests parting the disco long after the music had turned off. With double prices and music at night, this site obviously isn't something for everyone. This is our so far worst experience in all of Italy. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Beautiful experience absolutely worth repeating. We stayed in this village in the central weeks of August and although it was full we didn't experience any discomfort. The sea is wonderful and perfect for children, the beach is clean and very well managed (the umbrellas are well spaced and the lifeguards are always present), the staff is courteous and helpful. But the jewel in the crown is undoubtedly the restaurant, which is located directly on the beach, where the food is very good and the service is impeccable. In this regard, we thank the girls from the restaurant Aurora and Morena (sorry but I don't remember the other names) always available for our every request and above all always smiling and kind even in the most chaotic moments. The bungalows are clean but very old and should be fixed up. The market is small but has everything you need and there are very kind and helpful people there too. We will definitely return and recommend it.

We returned to this village/camping after a few years. The strong points have always been the excellent position on the sea in a bay that shelters from the typical wind of the place, the excellent services of the campsite and the wide beach! The delicacy of the staff, the willingness to find solutions to personal problems and the excellent Emmedue entertainment made our stay even more pleasant. Very clean sea with shallow water, essential houses a few steps from the sea with a large patio, children are calm and free as the village is non-dispersive. The Grotta dell'Acqua village is the ideal place for families who want to spend a holiday in complete tranquility; a place where children are free to ride their bikes and have fun in the multipurpose fields. We spent two unforgettable weeks in this village and we want to thank all the staff starting from the precise, attentive and always present and helpful director. We felt at home thanks to the family area conveyed by the always kind, helpful and friendly staff. The structure is very clean and well-kept, the houses are comfortable, with air conditioning and a stone's throw from the sea. The beach is large, clean and always tidy. The restaurant is top, the chefs prepared delicious, abundant dishes with delicate flavors for us. The animation done by very good and nice guys is also beautiful. We had a really great time so we highly recommend it. Grotta dell'acqua you are fantastic...see you next year!!!

We stayed two weeks at this beachfront bungalow structure, excellent location, clean and welcoming room but a bit small for 4 people, the spacious and comfortable patio equipped with two deck chairs and a table, appreciated the welcome kit (oil and tomato puree). The large and always clean beach with fixed times (8/19) Acceptable bar service but unwelcoming staff who, after a request for live music, reply "go to Rimini" I don't consider it a polite answer. Animation: there are few animators for a significant number of guests in the village, absent for junior group boys, I congratulate especially Carlo and Chiara who are very prepared and sociable towards the guests

I stayed in this village from August 27th to September 3rd. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, a little small for a family of 4. Then due to the noise of the sea which was always rough at night in that period and due to lack of space we had it changed to a more internal three-room apartment, but very comfortable, despite being further away from the beach. Cleanliness in general was good. The organization of services is impeccable; professional, friendly and engaging entertainment and TOP lifeguard service on the beach The village could work much harder if the owner-manager paid more attention to the following weak points in the future: 1) hire more qualified staff in the restaurant capable of illustrating the dishes or at least the main ingredients that compose them 2) for breakfast, in addition to a croissant and a measly price of cake, expand the offer with some yoghurts and some bread with savory ingredients (even if you pay for them separately) 3) improve wi fi in the entire village 4) equip each bungalow with a mini TV 5) make the use of the five-a-side football pitch free, €30 per hour is a bit excessive. 6) bring out a few more smiles to the ladies who work at the reception.
